When New York socialite Jasmine’s (Cate Blanchett) husband is accused of fraud she is forced to leave the high life and stay with her sister Ginger (Sally Hawkins) in a small San Francisco apartment.

A latter day Blanche Dubois, Jasmine is a troubled soul looking for the right man to take her back to the good life. But she will soon learn it’s not going to be quite the escape plan she had hoped for…
